Volunteers Supporters These good people agree to give the organisation £5 per year and we send out reminders during the autumn. This scheme brings us in very badly needed funds and many of our supporters give us more than £5 for which we are extremely grateful. In return you get a copy of our autumn newsletter and support the charity in a most effective manner in its work trying to assist depressed mothers. Covenants or Direct Debits Some people wish to donate an amount of money every month. This is of great benefit to the organisation and even three or four pounds a month is of great help to us. The easiest way to do this is to set up a direct debit and this can be done by following the link to our direct debit form (click here) or by requesting a direct debit sheet from our office. In either case we are extremely grateful for this type of support, we encourage regular donors to complete Gift Aid slips so that the charity can recover income tax which increases the value of the donation.
One off Donations
Sponsored Events Some of our friends support us by running, walking, rowing or skipping in sponsored events around the country. W recently received a donation from a sponsored attempt to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours. The money raised by our friends who nominate the Association to receive their sponsorship money is of great value to us and we are extremely grateful to those who run, walk or climb on our behalf. We can provide advice and sponsorship forms and always appreciate photographs of these events for our newsletter. Christmas Prize Draw Every year we send out a couple of books of draw tickets to our current members and anyone who feels that they can sell them. The money raised above the cost of the prizes supports the work of the Association. If you would like to receive some draw tickets please contact the office by post, phone or e-mail. Trustees We are currently seeking a Trustee to join our committee who is a working GP with a special interest in PND. This person would need to be able to attend two meetings per year in south west London. As a Trustee the post is unpaid but travelling expenses can be re-imbursed. If you are interested please contact Clare Delpech via the office. Office Administration Our office is in Fulham, if you can spare some regular time within our office hours we would welcome your assistance in the office. The work is general administration and you would not be asked to support women on the phone. If you are interested please contact Clare Delpech via the office. Volunteer Groups Some volunteers arrange meeting for volunteers who live in their area. We have had many successful groups around the country and anyone who would like to arrange a pilot meeting should contact Siobhan Merrifield at our office for more information. We should mention that most volunteers have very young children so may find it difficult to attend meetings in the evening or without their children. |
