PRIVACY POLICY

Your Privacy

The privacy and the security of your personal information is extremely important to us and we are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how and why we use your personal data, to make sure you stay informed and can be confident about giving us your information.

This policy applies if you are seeking help, a volunteer, a donor, a fundraiser or use our website, online chat room, email, call or write to us.
If you have any questions in relation to this privacy policy or how we use your personal data they should be sent to [email protected] or call 0207 7386 0868 or write to our office Association for Post-natal Illness. 145 Dawes Road, Fulham, London SW6 7EB

What personal data do we collect and how will we use it?

We want to make sure you receive the best possible service that is most relevant to you.

If you ring or email us seeking advice we record little information and many callers remain anonymous.

If you are seeking help from a volunteer – we may collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, age of baby and any relevant health information. This information is required so that the charity can provide help and support and deliver a service to you, including matching you to a volunteer. APNI will destroy your personal information once the relationship with the volunteer ends other than your name and address so that we can send you future annual newsletters. If you do not want to stay in touch just let us know and we will remove your name and address from our records.

If you are a volunteer – we collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, baby details and some health information. This information is required so that the charity can match your suitability with a mum seeking help. Before a match is made, the charity will send you an agreement that states how we expect personal data to be managed.

If you are a supporter – we collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, to inform you about the charity and to raise funds. This includes requests for donations, support and communications about your ongoing donation, direct debits, standing orders.
The charity will securely store your name and address etc.

Sensitive Personal Information

We will not pass on your details to anyone else except where you have given explicit permission for us to do so, for example arranging a volunteer for you. There may be exceptional circumstances whereby we may need to pass on your details without your permission, for example if we are concerned about your or another person’s wellbeing/safety.
